Hi Tnappykinky,
My first few months of locks I wore a wig too for interviews and felt the same way. But each time I wore it I was miserable. Then I got the courage to stop the wig wearing and showed up to my first interview as a locked head. I have no longer wore the wig since and I feel so liberated. I also got a big wave of inspiration from reading NaturalyFree's post about her big job promotion. May you reach your day of liberation as well!!

Hello Tnappykinky. I love your blog. Keep posting new pics of your hair journey.

I've been SL'd for 4 years and have had a few jobs during those years. I recently relocated to Southern California, and had several interviews-- all with my locks. I wore them in a chignon/bun and I'm happy to say that my present employer chose me because of my skills and fortunately not my look. Even though I was quite the professional, polished and all. I work for one of the three credit bureaus as a Credit Analysts. So it's true that you can maintain your natural ethnicity and "fit" in the corporate world. Good luck to your hair progress and your career.
